This Solo Exhibition of my Beijing Yoga Visual Essay in Tallahassee at FSU was quite a success! Loved the gallery space and the atmosphere created by the track lighting. More images are up on the website!

“Since 1831, the St. Marks Lighthouse has guided mariners to the entrance of the St. Marks River. Focused by a Fresnel lens, the 1000-watt light is visible for 19 miles offshore. By lining up the range marker, which some folks call the “bird roost”, with the lighthouse, skippers can find the entrance to the main channel.
Solidly build of brick and mortar, the lighthouse rises 82 feet above the coastal marshes. The Lighthouse has withstood hurricanes and fierce winter storms. During the Civil War, Confederate troops removed the lens and hid it in the marsh to deny the light to Union forces.”

Almost filled to capacity professional arena, with people watching the hockey game on the big screen TV. The Tampa Bay Lightning stadium filled with over 17,000 fans, who came to this game 6 watch party in support of the team playing in Chicago, 1,100 miles away. I am so fortunate to witness such incredible team spirit. I wonder if any other team in the league would be able to fill their stadium with no actual hockey going on inside.
Ideas are like fish. If you want to catch little fish, you can stay in the shallow water. But if you want to catch the big fish, you’ve got to go deeper. Down deep the fish are more powerful and more pure. They’re huge and abstract. And they’re very beautiful. | David Lynch
You know, it’s not about screaming, it’s about whispering. When you scream everybody hears, but not everybody listens. When you whisper maybe not too many people can hear you, but it goes deeper. | Alber Elbaz
I believe that, through the act of living, the discovery of oneself is made concurrently with the discovery of the world around us, which can mold us, but which can also be affected by us. A balance must be established between these two worlds—the one inside us and the one outside us. | Henri Cartier-Bresson
